What Perfume Smells Like Roses?

What Perfume Smells Like Roses

Roses have one of the most pleasant scents on Earth. There is so much beauty in a rose, and the flower is associated with both love, passion, and innocence, depending on the color.

History Of Roses

The Romans really valued the scent of roses and used it to make rooms smell pleasant and put it on after bathing. Apparently, Cleopatra filled a room with beautiful petals from roses while flirting with and wooing Marc Anthony.

The main roses of this period were the Gallica (or French Rose), and Damask types, which were both different shades of pink in color, and rose oil was first made in Persia around the 10th century. It’s interesting to know that pure rose oil is the most expensive fragrance oil that exists today.

Main Rose Scents

There are seven main scents that belong to roses, namely: rose (or damask), clove, nasturtium, violets, lemon (scented like the fruit), orris (which smell similar to violets), and apple. Orris actually fixes or preserves odors.

There are also 26 less common scents you may come across when breathing in the scent of roses. These include honeysuckle, honey, marigold, fruits like raspberry, moss, parsley, hyacinth, and wine.

If you are in love with the scent of roses, you may be wondering what perfume smells like roses, so that you can smell of roses all day. After all, the smell of roses is alluring and ultra-feminine. It is a scent that belongs to women, although unisex fragrances have been made of recent years, that has rose in it. Let’s take a look:
